RIGHT
TO CANCEL
The
consumer has the right to cancel. The cancellation period begins with the day on
which the contract is concluded and ends on the expiry of 7 working days,
beginning on the day after the day on which the consumer receives the goods. The
consumer has the right to a cooling off period during which they may cancel
their order for any reason. In this case the goods must be returned and the cost
must be paid for by the consumer. When a cancellation is requested money is
returned within 30 days of the cancellation, irrespective as to whether the
goods have actually been returned at that stage. Nevertheless, a deduction can
be made from the refund to cover the direct cost of collecting the goods where
they have not been returned by the consumer within this period.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
GOODS
RETURN POLICY
The
consumer has a 7 day period from receipt of the goods in which to reject
"faulty" goods. In this case please return the item in its original
condition and packaging. A full refund will be given when the goods are received
by islandtapestry.com in suitable resale condition. We can refund shipping costs
only if the return is a result of our error.
In the case of "faulty" goods, the Sale of Goods Act 1979 establishes
that consumers are allowed a reasonable opportunity to establish that the goods
are in conformity with the contract. This means that in certain circumstances
the packaging will have been opened, and possibly even discarded. Where it is
reasonable for a consumer to have taken such action, the goods will not be
returned in their "original packaging/condition". Please note that we
cannot provide a refund or replace any personalised goods. While goods that are
"clearly personalised" or made to the "consumer's
specifications" are exempt from the cancellation provisions of the Distance
Selling Regulations, such goods can still be rejected under the Sale of Goods
Act where they are "faulty" in some way.
